Body Scanners That Reveal Your Naked Body Going Into U.S. Airports

Friday, February 20, 2009 Posted by Shattered Paradigm

Imagine a futuristic world where security is so tight that just to take a flight you have to be scanned by a machine that can look under your clothes and give security officers a perfect look at the precise form of your naked body - including your private parts. Well, the future is now.

You might not be so eager to take that next flight after you read this.

"Body scanners" that give operators a very clear image of what is underneath your clothing have replaced metal detectors at Tulsa's airport.

We wanted to put up a picture of what these "body scans" look like, but we were hesitant because they actually do border on pornography. These body scans are the closest thing to viewing a person's naked body without actually seeing their skin.

Officials in Australia where they have installed similar machines confess that these machines DO show people's private parts.

Cheryl Johnson, the general manager of the Office of Transport Security in Australia, admitted the following about these machines: "It will show the private parts of people, but what we've decided is that we're not going to blur those out, because it severely limits the detection capabilities."

She also added this comment: "It is possible to see genitals and breasts while they're going through the machine, though."

But all in the name of "security", eh? Now to board a plane you have to subject yourself to having one or more "security" guards view the naked form of your body.

Tulsa International Airport is just the first airport where these body scanners will be tested in the United States.

San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Albuquerque and Salt Lake City will join the body scanning test in the next two months.

According to ABC News, the TSA plans to install 600 of these machines in airports across the nation this year.

Are you as disturbed by all of this as we are? If so, please feel free to leave a comment.....

The Importance Of Talking To Your Teens About "The Birds And The Bees"

Wednesday, February 18, 2009 Posted by Shattered Paradigm

Today we have a guest post from Jen of YourSTDhelp.com on the importance of talking with your kids about reproductive issues. Do you agree with her outlook? After reading the article, we would encourage you to leave an article with your opinion in the comments section below.

-----

Talking to your teen about "the birds and the bees" is every parents nightmare, no one wants to have to explain sex to their children. At this crucial time in their lives what you do say or don't say can be life changing. Your children are thinking about it and talking about it just not with you. Their are so many myths in school on the subject from different positions to not get pregnant to dangerous ideas of being protected from sexually transmitted diseases because of other silly rumors. If you don't talk to your teen about sex the repercussions can be much worse then a half hour talk at the kitchen table.

One of the reasons parents tend to avoid the dreaded conversation is they think that their kids are to young or they won't really be thinking about it until college which just isn't true. According to the CDC teen pregnancy's in 2006 were at 435,427 infants born to kids between the ages of 15 to 19. Even scarier still was a recent report that found one in four teenage girls between the ages of 14 to 19 was infected with an STD, many of which are incurable and will be with them for life. These figures alone should help jump start a conversation with your children at the youngest possible age.

Before you sit down with your teen you should defiantly have a game plan laid out so it can go as smoothly and less stressful as possible. The first thing is to make sure that your both comfortable and it's not a confrontation but a open conversation. Many parents find that having an itinerary of the talk will make things faster, easier, and more complete. Start off with talking about what sex is, when it's appropriate to have sex, different forms of protection, and how to use them correctly. These are all important points you should touch on. Make sure to always be open to questions, and even as much as you cringe to hear it, try and force some out of them as well. Talk about pregnancy myths and the statistics of STDs in the Country and even State. Usually between hearing about how a baby could potentially destroy their future and just how gross STDs really are they tend to think a second time before they act. Also creating easy access to condoms decreases their chance for pregnancy enormously.

Every family is different and children develop at different speeds. It's up to you to know when the time is right to have the talk with your teen. Don't think that just one talk is enough, gentle unconfrontational reminders are extremely important. When your teen gets a new boyfriend/girlfriend is a good time to have another little chat and maybe the right time to open up that access to condoms even if they're not sexually active. Remember life changing events can take place and it's up to you to make sure your child lives a healthy and safe life.

Chinese Scientists Use New Technology To Clone 5 Human Embryos

Sunday, February 15, 2009 Posted by Shattered Paradigm

There was a time when human cloning was only a reality in really bad science fiction movies, but that time is officially over. Thanks to a new breakthrough, scientists in China have successfully cloned five human embryos.

So how is this done?

This new technology involved taking human cells, usually from the skin of a donor, and injecting them into a human egg.

This goal of this procedure according to the Chinese scientists is to create embryonic stem cells. Stem cells are cells that have the ability to grow into any type of tissue in the body. Many doctors and researchers around the world believe that embryonic stem cells can aid them in finding cures for many common diseases.

However, this technique is also controversial because the removal of stem cells always leads to the destruction of the cloned embryo.

For scientists in communist China, the destruction of the embryo is not a problem because they do not believe that life begins until after birth.

So they don't feel any guilt at all over destroying those children.

Embryonic stem cell research is also getting a lot of attention in the United States.

Just hours after Barack Obama was inaugurated, the FDA approved a scientific stem cell study that will use human embryonic stem cells.

Embryonic stem cell research has been a huge issue in recent presidential campaigns, but now with this FDA approval and with President Obama in office, this research is likely to begin as early as this upcoming summer.

This initial research will test whether embryonic stem cells are safe to use in spinal injury patients.

These embryonic stem cells come from four or five day old embryos, which have the ability to turn into any cell in the body.

However, there is one huge problem.

When these stem cells are removed from the embryo, the embryo is destroyed.

That is why this research has been so controversial.

Because it kills babies.

This is just another sign that the United States cares very little about life or about obeying God.

We create human embryos and we do whatever sick things we want to with them.

There was an article in USAToday the other day that left us totally stunned.

The article described how there are approximately half a million frozen embryos sitting around in storage in fertility clinics across the United States.

Half a million frozen babies.

Just sitting there.

According to USAToday, only about two-thirds of the "owners" of these embryos said they were ever likely to use them.

So what is going to happen to all of the leftover embryos?

According to the article, more than half of the "parents" of these embryos responding to a survey said that they were "very unlikely" to donate their "extra embryos" to another couple trying to have a baby.

What the survey did find was that the most popular option was donating the embryos for "scientific" research.

How sick is that?

Just think about that.

There are already a half million frozen babies sitting around in clinics and that number is increasing all the time.

A huge portion of these embryos will never be used by the "parents", and the most popular option for "disposing" of these embryos appears to be donating them for "research".

The truth is that the United States has rejected the value of human life in a multitude of ways.

America has thrown God's ways to the side and has embraced their own "wisdom" in the name of convenience.

It is time for America to wake up and to realize the tremendous sins against human life that are being committed all across the nation:

The Incredibly Touching Story Of One Young 6 Year Old Boy Who Died Of Leukemia

Friday, February 13, 2009 Posted by Shattered Paradigm

The following story was emailed to us today. It is supposedly a true story, but we cannot vouch for that. It is, however, a very moving tale.....

-----

In Phoenix , Arizona , a 26-year-old mother stared down at her 6 year old son, who was dying of terminal leukemia.

Although her heart was filled with sadness, she also had a strong feeling of determination.

Like any parent, she wanted her son to grow up & fulfill all his dreams. Now that was no longer possible. The leukemia would see to that. But she still
wanted her son's dream to come true.

She took her son' s hand and asked, 'Billy, did you ever think about what you wanted
to be once you grew up?

Did you ever dream and wish what you would do with your life?'

Mommy, 'I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew up.'

Mom smiled back and said, 'Let's see if we can make your wish come true.'

Later that day she went to her local fire Department in Phoenix, Arizona, where she met Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as Phoenix.

She explained her son's final wish and asked if it might be possible to give her 6 year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine.

Fireman Bob said, 'Look, we can do better than that. If you'll have your son ready at seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make him an honorary Fireman for the whole day. He can come down to the fire station, eat with us, go out on all the fire calls, the whole nine yards! And if you'll give us his sizes, we'll get a real fire uniform for him, with a real fire hat - not a toy -- one-with the emblem of the Phoenix Fire Department on it, a yellow slicker like we wear and rubber boots.'

'They're all manufactured right here in Phoenix, so we can get them fast.'

Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy, dressed him in his uniform and escorted him from his hospital bed to the waiting hook and ladder truck.

Billy got to sit on the back of the truck and help steer it back to the fire station. He was in heaven.

There were three fire calls in Phoenix that day and Billy got to go out on all three calls.

He rode in the different fire engines, the Paramedic's' van, and even the fire chief's car.

He was also videotaped for the local news program.

Having his dream come true, with all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy, that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible.

One night all of his vital signs began to drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed in the hospice concept - that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital.

Then she remembered the day Billy had spent as a Fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and asked if it would be possible to send a fireman in uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition.

The chief replied, 'We can do better than that. We'll be there in five minutes. Will you please do me a favor?

When you hear the sirens screaming and see the lights flashing, will you announce over the PA system that there is not a fire?'

'It's the department coming to see one of its finest members one more time. And will you open the window to his room?'

About five minutes later a hook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window--------16 fire-fighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room.

With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they LOVED him.

With his dying breath, Billy looked up at the fire chief and said, 'Chief, am I really a fireman now?'

'Billy, you are, and The Head Chief, Jesus, is holding your hand,' the chief said.

With those words, Billy smiled and said, 'I know, He's been holding my hand all day, and the angels have been singing.'

He closed his eyes one last time.
